We’re incredibly honored to be featured in Epic Hotels, a one-of-a-kind series about incredible hotels now available on Amazon Prime.
Growing up in New England, former finance guru Derek Webb loved the small farms all around him and the history that they represented. After the crash of 2008, he decided to give in to his passion for history and the countryside and devote himself full time to restoring Nineteenth Century ranches. To that end, Webb purchased Triple S Ranch outside Calistoga in the Napa Valley, and Spring Ranch on the Mendocino Coast. Both ranches were essentially in ruins but “the bones” were in place.
We “Vixens” get very excited when we happen upon a little known, secret venue… especially one that is in Napa County – Triple S Ranch. Unfortunately, it’s such an awesome spot that it will not remain a secret for long!
Located on an uphill winding country road, just a few miles from charming downtown Calistoga (the north end of Napa Valley,) sits this wondrous venue. Napa Valley has more to offer than just vineyards… there are beautiful valleys, oak studded hillsides, vistas and former ranch properties. Triple S Ranch has a varied rich history dating back to the 1860’s when the unique (current) reception space was a former dairy barn.
Three miles west of Calistoga, this incomparable boutique resort comprises 20 private acres overlooking stunning views of the Napa Valley. The grounds include majestic old growth trees, verandas and patios for outdoor celebrations, and buildings from the 1800s that have been lovingly restored and subtly updated inside to offer every amenity without sacrificing old world charm.
Just outside of Calistoga, on a west-facing plateau overlooking undulating grapevines, you will find Triple S Ranch. As historical as it is beautiful, the ranch has 20 acres of orchards and old-growth trees alongside Victorian buildings that have been lovingly restored, enhanced and updated.
You don’t have to ask us twice to take a trip to wine country. When we had the opportunity to travel to Calistoga to produce our first Cover Model Contest Photo Shoot at the beautiful Triple S Ranch, we packed up our gear and hit the road! Along with styling from L Squared Affairs and photographs by Rochelle Wilhelms Photography, our team had a great time on the ranch alongside our fun-loving Cover Models, Nikki and Quinn.
Want to plan a wedding in wine country? Or perhaps a yoga retreat, a business conference, a family reunion or a getaway with friends. If you are tired of hotels, Triple S Ranch in Napa might be the answer.
Triple S Ranch Napa is an historic California 1860’s ranch located in the hills above Calistoga. Approximately a 10 minute drive from Calistoga, you will head down a country road until you arrive at the Ranch.
Triple S Ranch is a dreamy wedding and private events venue in the Calistoga hills at the top of Napa Valley. We had the pleasure of spending a few nights there last week and were swept away from the dreaminess of this sprawling ranch.
This 1860’s ranch has been restored in the most delightful way. The owner loves to collect antiques and all those beautiful old things you may find in your Grandma’s farmhouse that look utterly perfect styled on a ranch like this.
One of the amazing survival stories from the wildfires that raged across Northern California involves the historic Triple S Ranch Napa and neighboring properties in Calistoga. Surrounded by fire on all sides, the ranch was saved due to a 10-hour battle waged by owner Derek Webb and a handful of courageous employees and neighbors.
Webb saw the firestorm coming up the mountain from Franz Valley shortly after 10 p.m. on Oct. 8. Nine people used tractors, rakes, shovels, and wet blankets, and rigged up their own fire truck using water from the pool to keep the fires at bay. Since the roads were blocked, everyone’s ultimate escape route was the swimming pool, which fortunately was a plan never used.
Last weekend, Nick and I set off on our yearly Napa trip. This was my third time going to Napa, but my FIRST time staying in the valley. Traditionally we have stayed in San Francisco and driven out to Napa a couple of days, but this time we decided to deep in the valley! Located 3 miles from downtown Calistoga (1 hour from San Francisco and less than 30 minutes from Santa Rosa), Triple S Ranch is a wine country oasis.
I sat here for about 30 minutes before beginning this next part, because I wasn't sure where to begin when covering the amazingness that is SSS. SO let me break it down for ya.
Triple S Ranch in Napa Valley’s charming town of Calistoga is located on a serene ridge to the east of Calistoga with unobstructed views across the hills to the west. The property is surrounded by vineyards of the Knights Valley Appellation.
I recently had the chance to visit to explore this unique setting perfect for weddings, company retreats or personal use (assuming you have enough friends to fill the fabulous space).
Triple S Ranch Napa was once part of an original Mexican Land Grant for thousands of acres. When owner Derek Webb purchased the property, he renovated this beautiful property into an spectacular destination wedding spot for couples all over the world.
Triple S Ranch Napa is located 3 miles west of historic Calistoga, in the Napa Valley. It is 12 acres of completely private and serene vistas and offers expansive views, open spaces, a grove of mature walnut trees, massive Redwoods, Sequoias, Oaks, Douglas Firs, & (our favorite!) fig trees!
